HIA 110 Ghekrd (Knight) Class LCAC
The 110 Ghekrd class was built for the Puntan Tavahca Makeuh (BDL) service along the Amur and Ussuri River borders with the nations of Beautancus and Tagmatium, the principle neighbors of the Sovereign Imperium of Machina Haruspex. As it would serve the border defense personnel stationed in key areas with ability to both be an air defense vessel as well as the ability to offload reinforcements for any potential hostile encounter.
The Ghekrd class is built to roughly the same size as the HVRL CF-02 commercial ferry. The Haru name for this class is "csymm yen licreuh jarelma" meaning "small air cushion vehicle". The Ghekrd class prototype was built in 1980 and the type entered production in various naval yard factories under supervision of HVRL in 1985. It is produced at a rate of about four every year.
In 1992, a modified main engine intake was installed on all Haruspex Imperial Navy Ghekrds in service with the Ranke Sea fleet. These intakes included special filters to reduce the ingestion of salt water, sand and dust particles into Ghekrd's engines and machinery, limiting the effects of salt water corrosion. After a trial run with the navy, this upgrade has also been installed on export models.
